My First Experience with Pilates Anywhere

Welcome, everyone, to the second post in our virtual space dedicated to sharing Pilates experiences.Today, I’d like to talk about the day I booked my first assessment. It was wonderful to discuss my concerns—Aline listened carefully and took note of everything.
Right after the assessment, I had my very first experience with Pilates. Until that point, I had no knowledge or experience with it—I barely knew what Pilates was.
Whenever we start something new, there’s always that initial excitement: a desire to move, make positive changes, and embrace new habits. It's a mix of enthusiasm and uncertainty—truly a dance between the unknown and our expectations.
Pilates, beyond being a science and a lifestyle, is also an art.
But stepping out of that moment of reflection—and out of my “comfort zone”—into real movement, the reality of the first exercises hit me: I felt the full weight of my own body. My movements were very slow, and my breathing was irregular and not in sync with my body.
And yet, feeling this way made me realize how much I needed to move. The class went by so quickly—I actually wanted more!
In future posts, I’ll keep sharing my journey with you.
See you soon!
Ellade
